Making Time - Mondays With Maya

Making Time - Mondays With Maya

How's everyone feeling this week? Tired? Busy? Feeling that you have too much to do and too little time to do it in? You're not alone. In these busy times, we often find ourselves wishing that there were more than only 24 hours in a day.

Making Time with the "I Have Time" Mantra - Mondays with Maya

In this week's Mondays With Maya, I talk about how to make time with a simple mantra.

The "I Have Time" mantra works like an affirmation. It gives you a moment to slow down, to relax, to realise that it's not the end of the world, and to believe that you do indeed have time. Sometimes, taking a few moments to just stop and breathe, enables us to put things into perspective and to prioritise. Maybe some of the things that are pressuring you, things that you feel you "have to" do, really don't need to be done at all and can be crossed off the list.

How To Make Time

I find that making lists helps me a lot. Seeing it all down on paper also helps you realise what is actually important and what isn't. In any event, just taking a few breaths and telling yourself, "I have time, I have time, I have time," will help you with your decision-making. When we stress ourselves out and feel that we don't have time, we end up making rash decisions. These stress-influenced decisions more often than not have to change later and in the end make us lose even more time than if we just took a few moments in the beginning to relax, clear our minds, and make decisions with clarity.

After all, your time is precious, it's yours and yours alone, and only you get to say what you do with it. And remember:

Spend time with the people who make you happy.

Lots of love (and time)
