As a musician, I've always relied on sound to help me, and guide my emotions through different stages in life. So when I first got into Kundalini yoga and discovered the awesome benefits that mantras and other yogic musical sounds and instruments can have on the mind, body and soul, I knew I was home. This week I want to share with you a quick gong session to de-stress.
Sound Healing with Gong to De-stress - Mondays with Maya
Meditation or savasana with a gong is renowned for being one of the most relaxing experiences, so everytime you feel you need to relax, or to detox, or even if you just want to take a few moments to gather your thoughts, sit or lie down for just a minute or two, and listen to the sound of the gong in this video. It will penetrate every cell in the body, and change the flow of energy to help you feel relaxed.
Note: It's best to listen to it on headphones so as to avoid the overtones and get the maximum benefit.
