Hi again, everyone!
I'm throwing it slightly back again this week to when I went to Paris Fashion Week. I got to see my friend, amazing designer, Alice Temperley, CEO of Temperley London, who was there showing her new collection. She is also a yoga aficionado, and I had a bit of a chat with her about why she does yoga!
Benefits of Yoga with Designer Alice Temperley - Mondays With Maya
It was very loud behind the scenes at Paris Fashion Week (so apologies if the video is a bit hard to hear) but Alice says that she does Jivamukti Yoga for an hour and a half every morning that she can to very loud music because it helps her to chill out and helps her be more creative.
About Jivamukti Yoga
Jivamukti Yoga was created in New York in 1984 by dancer and musician Sharon Gannon and her partner, artist and cafe owner David Life after they traveled to India and took the Sivananda teacher training program and met Swami Nirmalananda. Jivamukti means "liberation while living”. Jivamukti comprises of vigorous Asanas (poses) performed in a vinyasa-style series and also incorporates meditation/visualizations, chanting and uplifting music, with each class having its own theme. Jivamukti also advocates animal rights, veganism, environmentalism, and social activism.
