Sat nam, dear friends
It's Monday yet again, and you all know how I feel about Mondays - I love them! And guess what? I met someone who loves them as much as I do, so much so that he started a whole movement - "Every Monday Matters." I got to talk to Matthew Emerzian at the Ode to Joy retreat in Mexico (you can read more about that here in case you missed it last week).
Every Monday Matters meets Mondays with Maya
As Matthew told me, Every Monday Matters ("EMM") started as a book written by himself and Kelly Bozza. The idea was simple, getting millions of people to engage in simple acts that were good for the world like picking up litter, helping the homeless, smiling, or planting a tree, in order to make the world a better place and also help people understand how much and why they matter. Today, EMM is a non-profit organization based in California that believes that positive and significant change is possible in the world. "People and organizations are seeking ways to matter, to feel good about what they do, and to make a difference. Through our corporate, education, and social media programs, EMM makes it simple for employees, companies, students, schools, individuals, and communities to harness the power of understanding how much they matter to create extraordinary impact… one action, one Monday at a time."
Isn't that beautiful? To learn more, head on over to their website. If that isn't enough reason to have a great Monday, do it out of rebellion!
That's all for this week.
Love and light
