This week, I give you not one but two short and sweet little kundalini yoga exercises which are aimed at getting rid of disease and boosting the immune system.
You can do this short exercise whenever you feel that your immune system need a little jump start or when you get that feeling that you know you're coming down with a cold.
For maximum effect, try to get into the habit of doing this every day. It only takes a few minutes and it makes a big difference.
A few months ago I went to Turkey for a yoga festival and I wanted to make sure that I was completely healthy to be able to give my very best while I was there. Travelling can often trigger illness, be it because you are subjecting your body to new climates or having so much interaction with thousands (often tens of thousands) of people at airports, and even the airplane trip itself can take its toll. Here is what I did before my trip to make sure my immune system was in tip top shape: -
I give a lot of emphasis in general to health, whether in my yoga lessons or in life. After all, if you don't have your health, nothing else seems relevant.
We have to make sure that we look after ourselves and not leave it too late or till we start to feel poorly to want to start to do something for ourselves.
